Are there studies to show that a monthly (online) magazine works better than one where articles are constantly topped up as they arrive?

I would prefer a monthly/weekly publication because I get many daily newsletters where some of the links are to "yesterday's" and older content. I also think that once a regular visitor came to the site and started seeing old content, they could miss some of the new content. What do people think?

It would be great for you to have a newsletter with other news than what is featured in your website. Novelty is a nice thing for your site. :)

You need both: regular articles from the magazine supplemented with new content. Otherwise, once someone has read the magazine why should the come back before the next edition of the magazine is published?

Also, you can never have too much content! :-)

Constant (daily if possible) is the best way to go. Webmasterworld is a prime example of what fresh daily content is all about. And why we keep coming back.

Yep, I agree with all the above posts - fresh SEO-friendly content for the website, and set up a newsletter to give special offers, interactive forums or surveys, upcoming news, etc.

Anything involving your web visitors or business clients will ensure their loyalty to you.
