When Scrapers scrape scrapers.

I've posted a new original article and was surprised to see how fast it was scrapped. Now, the scrapper did not scrape it from my site, it scrapped it from another scrapper.

Less than 15 hours after the article was published, <the second scraper> ranks first, I rank second, for the exact title of my article.

I don't get anything from <the scraper>, not even a link, and they sure make a lot of Adsense money with my contents.

Any suggestions as to how to proceed?

File a DMCA with the search engines, and file a complaint with their web host (unless they're self hosted). Document everything.

And use server-side code to stop <a specific scraper> from scraping your site...

Update: My page has disappeared and the scraper appears first and even for related keywords. This scrapping ranks quite well.

And Google says there's nothing a competitor can do to harm your site...

All they have to do is scrap you and you lose.
