Forum Moderators: not2easy
Funny thing is that they forgot to change their publisher's page and still shows my picture and my name. The blog shows my partner's name as the author.
Typically, I just go to the webhost and file a DMCA complaint.
In this instance however, the webhost seems to be a fly by night reseller with no telephone number. We sent the DMCA complaint to the emails listed on the site -- but still nothing. The technical support forum is full of porn and smut posts.
We did a tracert and the next hop is a company called Managed Solutions Group, Inc. based in Fremont CA but for the life of us we can't get the website of this hosting company.
We filed a DMCA complaint with Google, but Google wants a list of all the URLs and listing all those 4000+ URLs is a pain.
- Can we go after the domain name registrar and report this scumbag?
- Should we just send this scumbag a cease and desist through our lawyer?
- Can we send a DMCA complaint to the next hop in tracert - the company they use to get the hosting lines (Cogent?)
What are our options? I don't really mind if someone takes our entire article or a blog post and use it on their site. But to copy our entire website is a whole different enchilada.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
If your serious then submit to google all 4000 urls - there are many programs that can do this for you.
good luck
