Ok, so the other day I was browsing the aisle at my local computer super store (looking at all the things I couldn't afford :) and I saw some software for creating ringtones.

Now this is hypotetically speaking because I don't really have the time nor the resources, but if I were to create ringtones for fun (I like to create music in my off times), just wondering, is there some kind of copyright infrigement to posting ringtones (copied from others songs) on the internet? Do these people who have these ringtone sites, do they have to get permission from the artists first, or is it totally legit? I'm a musician so this kind of stuff appeals to me, so I was just wondering. Thanks!
