I am having my own websites. I have written a software program (Firewall) i am distributing its source code free to all users from my web site. But non technical users wants setup program also. Setup program will be large. My we site can not support that much bandwidth. Can some download site like download.com or softpedia.com host the software for free.
What is the procedure to ask them to host my freeware or open source programmers

sudhirmangla,

I've got something for you - you can use *The Free Site* (google it, since no links are allowed to be posted here). They offer free hosting for many freeware types and the procedure is a quite easy one to follow: you need to add a link to The free site to use their free hosting right after that. More details you can get on their website, if you are interested. Just one more thing to add - they have over one million visitors a month, which makes them one of the most popular free hosting sites, so I think it would be a great benefit to use their services.

If it is open source you can also open a project on some of the larger open source repositories. Sourceforge is one of the most popular.
