Well, I did it. One of the articles in my blog made it to the Digg front page last week.

Because of this, the article received many thousands of visits and perhaps a hundred or more links from other websites. It is on a very uncommon subject.

A few days ago I Googled the dugg article title and it had risen to #11. Not bad, I thought.

Lo and behold, I just tried Googled the title again and my article is nowhere to be found in the Google results. However, another website has copied my article word for word and THEY rank #4!

So I have a couple of questions.

1) How the hay can Google rank the stolen article on another website higher than my origional, especially since I have all these other sites linking to mine? Seems to me the Google algo has to be whacked in order for that to happen.

2) What can I do if the offending website does not remove the content the stole from me? (It seems the entire website consists of stolen content for many other websites).

Thank you in advance.
