I would just like to know if updating your website 7 - 8 pages a day can be too spammy?

Thanks!

There is nothing spammy about updating the site content frequently. Actually it is to the site's benefit.

A page updated systematically is eventually crawled more frequently (if the content also gets increasing IBLs).

However one cannot expect to have fast updates in the search engine rankings (like pagerank). There is an aging factor (which is also known as the G sandbox)which is applied to counter fraudulent cases. Therefore patience is needed.

As frequently as you possibly can as long as you content is spammy.

Some sites (especially news sources) add and delete hundreds or thousands of pages daily...

Update your pages as often as it makes sense.

If there is no reason to update the page, don't.

If there is a reason to update the page, do.

If there is a reason to add one page a month, add one page, not 10.

If there is a reason to add 100 pages a day, then add 100 pages a day.

You just want to be fairly consistent. Don't add 10 pages a day for 2 years, then change to 5000 a day overnight, without expecting to get dinged in the rankings.

I agree on the example you give - these sites are probably copying and duplicating.

But, if a site can produce a couple of genuine pages every days, is this spammy? I don't think so.

I think you are ambitious, it's a good thing, but you must also have
patience.
If you have viable content to update, do your job.
If not, just wait to analize what's happend.
