Hi,

I'm building a website and I'll be writing some articles. How do you guys keep track of the development of your website and tracking / updating the website?

Does anyone know of any tools or software that I can use to keep track of my web development. How to keep track of ideas / work in progress pages.

I've searched the web for "website management software" and "content management software" but I'm not sure what these softwares can do.

I use spreadsheets, Listpro, calendar software in my pocket pc, an inbox on my desk, email folders, favorites folders, paper notebooks, custom meta tags and project management software.

I haven't found any single tool that will keep track of everything, though my pocket pc is the definitely the hub of everything.

I use spreadsheets to track updates, to maintain lists of pages on the websites, and for software change/update logs. I use custom meta tags to track the date the page was last updated. I use Listpro to manage "to do" items.

If there's a single tool that'll do it all, I haven't found it.

I use email folders quite a bit as well, my inbox sometimes becomes my todo list and the email folders keep track of conversations and specific information about projects.
In addition to the email folders I have also gone back to the old fashioned but very effective method of creating a three ring binder for each project and filling it with lined paper. I then use a ball point pen applied directly onto the lined paper to keep track of daily task lists and ideas.
Seems to be working out quite well.

It might not be a new question here, but always important. For the content writing what is the best option to check the content, whether this is re rewritten from other website or it is a fresh content. Most of the time, writers, re write the other website content and send to the buyers, which can not be considered fresh and unique content in nature. Quote finder does'nt work any more. its totally useless. Copyscape works when your website or webpage is uploaded with the content.
is there any good tool available where content can be checked, when it is sent by writer.

Thanks in advance
