Is there another website or freeware software that is as good as Copyscape that people use? I am having some content written for me so I want to validate that it is unique, but have hit the maximum of 20 search per month.

The problem with that, and with Copyscape, actually, is that if someone takes an article, and systematically paraphrases it, you won't detect it. But that's a form of plagiarism.
