Hello: I'm working on a website that is going to have video clips. I'd like to use a song from a famous rock band for my site that will go along with the interviews / audio clips. Probably also as a trademark for my site. Can I do this or do I need permission? how do I get one? is there any examples? any help will be appreciated.

You definitely need permission.

Look here for information:

(Apologies if this type of link is not allowed, but seemed safe as it is governmental, informational and non-commercial.)

why don't you look for other kind of music? There are tons of good music with creative commons license that you can use if you give proper attribution.
