Can I remove reviews on my Facebook business page? I just started the page and I'm not sure how it works. I'd rather not give the occasional disgruntled customer a platform to spread ill will.

On the pages I administer I can remove wall posts and discussions. If you created the page you have control over the content.
If somebody else made the page and you haven't been given administrative privileges then you cannot edit someone else's page.

bill, can you remove reviews under the "Reviews" section of a page you created?

I don't have the Reviews application activated on any of my pages. I guess the easiest way to find out for sure would be to add the app to your page and test it. I have full control of all the rest of the content, I'm assuming the Reviews app would allow the same level of control.
