I have learned the hard way by spending a lot of money on features that people do not use. I naturally assumed that because the site somewhat mimics facebook and myspace and other social scripts, folks would be familiar with all the features. Well I was wrong. It's not features they want its good content they desire, answers to their questions,. They have a problem and they want you to solve it. Thats why they join. All the bells and whistles dont mean a thing if you can't provide information they need.

My sites are stagnating, I had considered closing them down, but what the heck, I'll see how they do.

I want to share my knowledge and experience with others of what works and what doesnt now. Am I an expert, no way. But I have learned a lot about social scripts and what people really want in a forum.
