We will be starting off a business for hosting multimedia (mostly videos and pictures with rating/tagging/etc.) user generated content at enterprise quality (in terms of scaling, redundancy, etc.).

One option is to build this from scratch using open source software like lighttpd, squid running on NAS with mysql for holding metadata information. As usual, this should be horizontally scalable...

But, given that it will take some time to develop this from scratch, I am also considering buying this as a package/platform for the beginning, instead of spending time to develop the whole thing in the beginning...

Do you guys know of any packaged solution for this? As I said, it should have built-in redundancy, should be cost-effective and horizontally scalable...
