Scrabulous to end?

The BBC reports that Facebook have been asked by Hasbro to remove Scrabulous. How they got away with it for this long I don't know, what was interesting though was the quote that they were making $25,000 a month (in the accompanying blog) as well as the enraged comments from users.

I can't understand how people can not see that protecting your IP from other people profiting from it is a good thing.

Seems like a dumb move for the TM owners not to acquire the game or simply force the developers to pay a license fee.

The users only see that the game they enjoyed playing is being forced offline by a greedy corporation. I think the lawyers were behind this move and didn't check with the PR department first.
