How does your own forum help with your other websites?

Hmmm, in what way do you hope to help the other sites? You can link to them, or even run ads for them, to try and drive some traffic their way. Linkage could be within posts, in the navigation area, etc.

To have a significant effect, the forum would have to be relatively popular, of course.

I have been planning for quite sometime now, on one of my websites at the very bottom of news or articles on page, I want to have a link saying something like "Discuss this here" linking the article to a forum. So the forum goes much alongside the other news and articles on the site.
