I'm new on php/mysql. All blog software on asp.net/sqlserver is awfull.
In php/mysql, is it word press?

Wordpress is the most popular; it's easy to install, free, and has lots of styles.
MovableType has a big following, but has turned into commercialware.

Which is more feature rich, movabletype or wordpress?
Note, that I'm researching while writing, but want to get 3rd party opinions.

I've got a couple of older versions of MT I'm still using. I like WP a lot, but if there's an area where MT might be better it's in multiple blogs on a site and some granularity of author permissions.
