Hello, forum!

I’ve created a small website/blog about video games.

It’s in Ukrainian, as I’m from Ukraine. I write news, reviews and other content on the topic of video games.

Could you tell me what I need to do to get into Google News in 2026? What characteristics should the site have?

I’ve managed to get in there by chance once or twice. Now I want to understand how this system works in general.

I’d be grateful for any advice.

Thanks.

In reality, this system does not work, Google. Most webmasters just go with the flow. Publish and hope for the best. Clean Code, links, other sites that mention your news.

Another small website owner here --- I can only add that to be noticed your content should be original, well written and valid (true). Good luck.

In addition to what the others have said, here’s another point: Don’t just publish news. Include perspectives, opinions, and so on as well. You need to show Google that your site has more to offer. Also, set up a news sitemap and submit it to Search Console. Oh, and each article should have a unique ID in the URL.
