And on another similar note, it was brought to my attention that there are supposedly regulations related to accessability for disabled users of content management systems, now i have had a wee browse about on ye olde google for some information related to this but cant seem to find anything substantial to support the claim.
Anyone have any suggestions on the second point?
will the text to speach utility pick up the hidden text
As far I know, not all of them will especially if display: none; is used to hide the text. That's why a lot of menu rollover/image replacement techniques are now using left: -9999px;, with either Absolute positioning or text indent, or even toggling z-index layers to hide the text/hidden menus
I'm not sure on the second point it might but would be interested to hear too
