Standby for lots of indications in the Action Center as Microsoft releases a dedicated Windows 10 LinkedIn app in the Windows Store today.

You can, of course, turn off those pesky notifications if they are becoming too frequent.

I turned mine off the first time I saw the notification icon alert only to open it and see headline news.

Then the Creator Update turned them back on. Now things are a bit more trickey to disable.

Some just take more (hidden) steps but others actually take 3rd party software to either disable or remove them.

Bloatware and irritations! It's as if it's morphed into something far more than an OS.
Linux becomes more appealing every day.
