IDC is reporting Worldwide shipments of tablet computers has declined by 12.3%, year on year, and IDC suggests vendors are refocusing on their products, and consumers hold off on new purchases.
Android grabbed the lions share of the market at 65%, with iOS at a respectable 26%, with Windows at 9%. Itr also seems, according to the report, Windows-based products at the power end of the market might be seeing a resurgence as the low-end vendors reach saturation.
Once you've got a tablet computer, as long as it meets your needs, is there a need to upgrade and replace! I don't think so. Perhaps the manufacturers expect too much and are stuck in this eternal loop of rolling out new products and expecting consumers to replace their existing product. Obviously, there's always going to be someone that wants to get the latest device.
