Anyone compare Litespeed to Apache?

I can't find anything on here within the last few years, and there's been a lot of tech updates since then.

I would like to hear some real world comparisons between Apache and Litespeed.

I think that I would have to use either their $36 or $46 /month account:

[litespeedtech.com...]

My server has about 100 accounts on it, but I'm really only concerned with speed for one of them. But that account has 60 domains parked on top of it, too. Does that mean that I would be fine with the $10 account? Or would it be installed server-wide whether it's needed or not?

How much of a speed increase can I realistically expect from it?

Have you checked out what Cloudflare has to offer? They provide all what Litespeed offers plus more. There is also open-source version of Litespeed.

Hello,

In your situation, you might consider looking at the free open source version of LiteSpeed. I don't know which features you really need. But I think the free version might not support Apache-like configuration out of the box.

edit: @NickMNS was faster :">

There are simply too many variables involved to answer this question, and the licensing question is probably best answered by LiteSpeed support.

To reduce CPU and memory usage, while possibly improving load times of static content, you could also have a look at Engintron (free nginx module for cPanel).
