Do you block VPN traffic?

Do you (or your CDN) block VPN and proxy traffic? The reason for doing so would be to keep out bad bots, spammers and other unwanteds, but it would also block some legitimate users.

I would be fairly reluctant to do this, especially with many users now using these services in an attempt to retain their privacy. A lot of these services are actively marketing their products at consumers, so I think it could be detrimental to block them all. It may be a better idea to single out the VPN's that are known to be abused.

I don't block VPN IPs just because they're VPNs. However, if I get a lot of hacking attempts or bad actors from one, it does get blocked.

I deal with bad actors and malicious traffic ... regardless of origin. Keeps things a bit more manageable.

Appreciate the replies. Sounds like it's better to use other factors to find the malicious traffic.
