Hi, I would like to know what is the best practice for getting an email into the customer's inbox. I have tried multiple mass mailing outfits to no avail

The web host says to have the customers contact google How can I do that, when I can not reach many of the customers by email. Thank you

It doesn't help when different email providers require you to jump through different sets of hoops!

Then you get those helpful customers who click on the "report as spam" button rather than ask to be removed from a mailing list or who use the "spam" button rather than "delete" if they don't think an particular email is worth opening.

My general experience is that there are a number of triggers, these are some things I have learned the hard way:
1. Never use gmail, hotmail, yahoo or AOL as "from" addresses except when mailing from those accounts
2. Always have test accounts with the major webmail providers and include them in your live mailings to verify that things are working
3. Avoid setting up bulk mails that are "from" and "to" the same address.
4. If sending documents, use download links rather than attachments. That seems less likely to be blocked and you can monitor the downloads to verify receipt.
5. Watch out for keywords in message titles that seem to be a problem.
6. Once you think you have everything sorted some ******** will change the rules!
