All the external keyboards around here aren't USB-compatable, their just green round plug ones. My laptop doesn't have green round plugs on it.
So I haven't been able to see if it is the built in keyboard, or if it is just a software glitch. Anyone else having this problem?
My best solution was to get a wireless external keyboard/mouse combination to use when at home, but that wasn't cheap. Neither are the USB keyboards if you can find them.

With a bit of experimentation I've noticed that this happens only while I'm typing and my palms are resting on the areas located on either side of the mousepad.
My theory is that I'm applying pressure to this area which, for whatever reason, registers with the mousepad as a mousepad touch. I'm not pushing down, but merely the weight of my hands seems to be enough to change the position of the cursor.
I've noticed that since I've been aware of this and actively trying to not apply pressure in this area, the problem hasn't occured for quite awhile.
