than my site, will my site get penalised this way? ie appear lower in any listings.

Say the affiliate uses his own domain and puts my site in a frame. And say he achieves a higher PR than my site. So in theory, will he replace my site in the search listings?

Or will it not affect at all since his domain name is different from mine?

Thanks in advance

if he's just framing it, and not scrapping it, then the content is still on your site.
people wouldn't be able to do a search to find your words on his site (like "mobile phones"), because they are not on his site -- they are on yours.

but there is nothing to stop his site ranking above you for the same phrases anyway. 99% of people don't appreciate that it's actually your site in a frame. so if they start linking to his framed page with those phrases ("mobile phones"), it will likely rise above you in the rankings.

and when you eventually decide to block your affiliates from framing you, you will mess up their ability to sell your stuff -- losing you even more business.

you shouldn't be encouraging your affiliates to frame your entire site. just get them to include a snippet and then link back to your own site.

it doesn't make sense to have an affiliate ranking above me for keywords that I'm targeting. That's me losing sales and paying it out to the affiliate for nothing.

It's better if I rank higher for keywords that I target, and have the affiliate targeting different avenues.

Handle the issue by strengthening your own SEO, not by holding affiliates back from legitimate promotion.

If you want to discourage affiliates from framing your site, specifically prohibit it in your affiliate ToS. Give your affiliates sufficient notice and time to make any changes, then add a frame buster script to your site.
