Is it me or is DreamWeaver CS4 slow and bloated?

There are some operations I use a lot such as 'locate this file in remote site', in CS4 things like this can often be greyed out while DW 'doing something' if you click it again a few minutes later it works fine.

Often when I try to click something (e.g. Get or Put), I get a message like 'DreamWeaver is currently interacting with the server, try again later'. This is new and very annoying.

I have used DreamWeaver since Version-1. Previous versions have been quick and easy. DW has to be my most used application, but the latest version is driving me mad.

I hate CS4 so much (both DW and photoshop). Not only is it a lot slower I find the navigation and shortcuts so much more cumbersome.

I'm planning on reverting back to CS3 this weekend (so glad I didn't sell them now!).

I agree with you, simonuk. Personally, and for many users, Dreamweaver CS3 more than suffices... We even run systems using Dreamweaver MX which is more than suitable for our needs! You should never upgrade unless you need to, as a rule of thumb. If it aint broke, don't fix it!

Well I did revert back over the weekend and I had a smile on my face when I saw the old look screen again.

CS3 did have some nice boosts in regards to CSS and newer web technologies but there simply wasn't any point in upgrading to CS4 and was just money wasted :-(

From now on when I install I 30 day trial I will make sure I use the programme as much as possible during that time!
