One cannot be "accurate" and "unfiltered" at the same time.
It really depends to whom you're listening, and whether the recipient believes them or not. These are two sides to it, for example: the person communicating is explaining the facts, yet the recipient does not believe them. Equally, and here's the big problem with all social media, the person communicating is telling "their truth" yet it's not the actual facts, and their "followers" believe them.
Before social media was a thing, the village idiot was only known to a relatively small number of people in the village, however, today, with social media, the village idiot can spread their message far and wide. Add to that the fact that many believe everything that they last read, or heard about on social media and there's a cocktail for misinformation.
I admire the vision set out by the new CEO, however, I strongly suspect Twitter will find it very difficult to achieve, especially after Mr Musk has destroyed the half-way-house of verified users. Now, anyone can be verified: Does that make them credible? No, and in fact, less so than previously, imho.
