Effective page titles for organic clickthroughs

Use your company name?

I currently a homepage ranking fairly well and want to tweak the page title, not for seo juice, but to improve organic clickthroughs.

The current title reads:
CompanyXYZ the Keyword1 Keyword2 Solution

So I am wondering if having the company name in the title adds any value or trust. It takes up space and the company name will never be a widely recognized brand, so should I ditch it?

If I did, I could have a title like this:
Keyword1 Keyword2 Solutions - Keyword3 Keyword4 Solutions

With that there's more of a chance that the user's search keywords will get boldfaced in the title. But it also looks more like a keyword stuffed link.

Anyone does any tests on this? My thoughts are not fully developed so I apologize for any incoherentness perceived.

Pick a keyword or keyphrase for every page.

For example, if one page is devoted to "blue widgets," title the page "Blue Widgets."

Repeat as necessary.

If the owner of the company is compelled to have his company name in the title, then title each page "Blue Widgets, Red Widgets, Whatever-have-you-widgets, from Widgets, Inc."

If the site can't be found by searching for the company name, then there's serious problems.

Including your company name in title is not a good way. It doesn't works. Moreover you are increasing the length of title. If you include your special focusing keyword instead of comapny name then you will definately gaining some thing. Your title shuld be combination of different keywords with a sense. So in my opinion don't include your company name in your title. AVOID IT!

We do generate page titles dynamically for every page except the homepage. Due to the nature of our backlinks, the homepage is basically the only link that ever hits the 1st page of google. So it's the one I'm thinking about most.

The company site is easily found on a company keyword search. So this adjustment has nothing to do with SEO, just trying to make a more attractive link.

Take WebmasterWorld's title for example:
WebmasterWorld News and Discussion for the Web Professional

It includes the company name and isn't keyword stuffed by any means. It doesn't even mention SEO, search engines, etc. It looks "professional" (i hate using that word). That's what I'm shooting for.

Any other thoughts?
