Plug in news or use rss?

I have to admit that I really know nothing about rss feeds. Here's my question. I run a news site and have to gather news from all of my sources everyday. I then have to plug each news feed into my software to display on the site. Is rss a better way to go because many of my sources offer a feed? Also, is there a way to keep them on my site so I can run adsense to the readers?

There are several ways to get RSS feeds to appear on your site. One way is outlined in this thread: Short guide to include RSS on your website [webmasterworld.com]
There are also many 3rd party services that will convert RSS feeds to HTML to show on your site. A quick search will turn up several.

RSS is easier, but some news agencies prevent you from syndicating their feeds so be careful of copyrights!

I have used a couple of third party services for converting RSS to HTML and they involve putting code on an existing page. How you arrange your pages is under your control.
