Another reminder that you shouldn't use browsers to save or sync your passwords...

Opera server breach incident
[opera.com]

Earlier this week, we detected signs of an attack where access was gained to the Opera sync system. This attack was quickly blocked. Our investigations are ongoing, but we believe some data, including some of our sync users’ passwords and account information, such as login names, may have been compromised.

They should update Opera, if they don't update soon Opera 12.1 will become the next IE6.

They should update Opera...

Well, they kinda did? (I didn't think Opera 12.1 had the browser sync feature?!)

I've got Opera 12.17 still and it has Opera Link built in, but that shutdown at the very end of 2015.

The problematic Sync service started in Opera 32.x in 2015. That's in the new Chromium based browser, not in the good old Presto powered version. They're at 39.x now for stable versions of Opera, so it does look like they've updated.
