It does start up very quickly, and it shuts down fast too.

FYI, we have a networked HP Photosmart C7280 and it works just fine with SL.

Also, I have found no problems at all with Photoshop, Acrobat Pro and Dreamweaver CS3 so far.

I read somewhere that you could no longer do a forced quit from the dock. That is not true.

Yep. Just click and hold an icon in the dock and then press the option key.

weeks, have you seen any bugginess outside of the HP printer issue?

I guess not, timster. I use Word a lot, so this was fairly annoying for me. I'm not certain that it's an HP issue or a Word issue or a Mac issue. When I tell it to format for "any printer," it is still a problem.

I have not been using a lot of software since I installed, so I'm not much of a test. I use the entire Office package. Dreamweaver seems fine, but I haven't really done much with it so that means little. Filemaker had me update Bento to work with Snow Leopard. Of course, all of the Mac programs I use are working fine.

I found that my firewall was set to off. I fixed that.

So, you updated your Flash, did you? Helpfully Snow Leopard downgrades it for you. If you had upgraded to Flash version 10.0.32.18 prior to installing the new OS, you ended up with Flash version 10.0.23.1 afterwards. Leaving you vulnerable.

Today I went to page set up in Word to change the Orientation of the page and I couldn't do it. Seems there is a problem with HP printers. I have a Photosmart c4200 in my office...HP says they're not ready. No kidding.

OOOk, now it works. And I didn't do anything different. And, I'm getting all of these new, handy print options I haven't seen before. (Cue up Twilight Zone music....)

I have to say, waiting is the wise move. In a rare move for me, I wanted to scan in a piece of artwork yesterday and couldn't do it. HP obviously has better things to do that update its software.
