I just got around to signing up for this new FUBAR system last night. Which, like most of Google's products, I find to be extremely confusing... even the documentation needs documentation :'-(
When I signed up, it said that you could use up to $200 /month for free. But after I signed up, it just says that I have a $300 credit for a free trial. I have no clue how long that trial is supposed to be, though, or if that's in addition to the $200 /month?
So I tried to set up a quota to ensure that I never go over $200 /month (guessing that it's free; I see no reference to that after creating the account), but all I can find is a daily quota under "Unsigned requests (if URL signing secret is defined)" (which is the only one that shows activity, so I'm making an educated guess that this is the only one that applies to me, even though I'm using an API key).
This is confusing... I don't care about a daily limit, I just don't want to go over the $200. And since I can't find how much each view costs, anyway, I don't even know how many requests that would be.
But let's pretend that $200 would cover 10,000 requests (333 /day on months with 30 days). I might have 100 today and then 500 tomorrow, which would still average less than 333 /day. But if I do a limit of 333 then the day with 500 would go over the limit unnecessarily.
So...
1. Is the $200 /month for free real, or something I dreamed?
2. If so, is it automatically applied?
3. If so, how many "Unsigned requests" is that per month?
4. Can I apply a quota of that many per month, or am I stuck making a daily quota?
