So far im pretty impressed. But I see there are sooo many google gadgets that can be added. And theres a warning message each time you try to add one that it hasnt been tested and they dont know the security of that gadget.
So now I feel like I cant add any of the gadgets. Why does google add them to the list if they dont know the security status ? Stuff like this drives me nuts.
Anyway, I really wanna try out this
[desktop.google.com...]
Its suppose to display your google analytics stats on your desktop. (via the gadget bar) I thought that would be pretty cool.
Was wondering if anybody here had it installed ? I added it to the gadget bar..but it asks me for a username and password and website address... thats where I stopped. Just wondering if its ok or not ? Any help is much appreciated.
Even installing it to the gadget bar just takes one second with one click.
So would you guys say you wouldnt install any of those gadgets, no matter how popular they are ?
My next one of interest was going to be :
[desktop.google.com...]
That reports your Google Adsense stats live on the fly...on your desktop. Once again, I would definately use it if I knew it worked. I mean seriously, wouldnt you guys love to use these yourself ? That is cool , convenient stuff right there if it works.
The adsense one has a lot of positive ratings (as seen on that link)..but once again, im not sure of where this data goes when I login.

Google makes some of the gadgets; I would believe those can be trusted.
I actually have made some Google Gadgets...obviously I won't put any viruses on my work, but the problem is I could if I was inclined to. What Google should do is review the top 100 and keep them, delete the rest, then have a stingy review process for future gadgets.
