accidental "viral" site

worried adsense may view my site as a viral site

I've had my site for nearly 10 years. I cannot say what my site is about because it's really niche but more than half of my traffic comes from sharing new posts on Facebook. I make multiple posts per day, the content is a mix of photos, text and a comment section. Some posts go viral which results in a high amount of Facebook traffic, higher clicks, bouncebacks. I'm worried my site may be flagged for something, whatever Adsense determines might be a viral site and could be banned.

I've read Adsense policies that talks about buying Facebook traffic, I do not do this but am worried my stats may seem like I do.

Am I worrying about nothing? My traffic has gone up considerably since doing this but all due to most of my readership being on Facebook.

Write the best content for your readers. The rest is out of our hands.

Probably. On the other hand, it sounds like you are getting benefit from SM (FB) that has eluded others here at WW.

As for worrying about what g thinks, that's nothing more than bothering yourself since None Of Us know what g thinks ... or when they will change things yet again. (sigh)

Google are perfectly happy with Facebook traffic, as long as it is natural. Rates can be lower thanks to the inapp browser issue, but organic Facebook traffic isn't a flag in itself. Most of the problems we have seen have been where the traffic has either been bought through deceptive ads, or from another page rather than via the ad system (at which point you are at the mercy of whatever traffic quality that page decides to throw your way).
