Conundrum - single page site

I have a single page site which ranks #1 for what it's about and the majority of it's related keywords, it receives aprox 5,000 visitors per day from search on roughly 10,000 search impressions. It's roughly 2800 words in length with several images and a map. It would not make any sense to add pages to this subject and Google seems to like it enough to rank it well.

Adsense, on the other hand, will not accept the domain. I get a "this site violates our quality guidelines warning in search console and it specificaly says there is not enough content which is a violation of ToS.

Mixed messages/results. Does anyone have a single page site they've got ranking well and have no adsense issues? I just wanted to place a single ad.

I don't have a single page site, but perhaps consider adding pages such as these to thicken the content:

about / privacy / terms / contact / links etc

If Adsense really is a non starter, is there an appropriate affiliate product you could sell?

It could also be a problem for AdSense working out what the site is about.

I'm confused about who is saying what.

Are you sure it's the single-page fact that's violating the webmaster guidelines and/or AdSense terms?

Having only one page is normally no reason for Search Console to raise a flag.

Robzilla, It's a single page site and when I submit it for adsense they reject it citing it violates the ads on non-content pages policy. Given that search likes the site I'd say adsense has this wrong.

it has a privacy policy on page at the bottom but that's not listed as the problem.

Not necessarily. There's lots of content that does well in Search but isn't eligible for AdSense for one reason or another.

I�m going to give you some advice that �Shoemoney� said once (anyone remember him?) - and it changed my life.

I had a single page site - and I didn�t know what else to do - as the domain was about the single topic.

And shoemoney said these words of wisdom...

�Coke Theory� - think like Coke did!

Coca Cola - would be a �single� page site. Coke.

But what did they do - loads of variations of the same damn thing! Coke Zero, coke cherry, Diet Coke.

The point is - even if you think there is only one idea - one �page� - there is always, always more you can do!

It honestly changed my life. My site wasn�t allowed adsense - I got more content, and some of my cherry coke pages, now do better then my original coke homepage :)

Do keep in mind that Adsense (and their advertisers) have taken to looking at specific content as undesirable. Not saying your one page is that, but these days it is getting more difficult to define what triggers folks these days.

Adsense has to answer to the advertisers ... and the advertisers are pretty specific where they want their outlay to appear.

If there are advertisers in the Adwords pool that would work for this site am I to assume that, somewhere out there in the W3 universe, there isn't either a) an affiliate program that would be a match; or, b) a "direct advertiser" that wouldn't love to share in your targeted traffic?
