I decided not to go with it because I put the code on a test page and I didn't like the way it rendered. I don't have images for all my pages, so it picked up stuff like social media buttons or ads to put next to the links. I put in a support request and was told that the code used the OG image for the page, and in the end it looked like more trouble than it was worth - I'll probably try it in the next iteration of the sites.

All of which is to say - test how it looks before you implement. You might need to do some tweaking to get it to work right.

We're using it on our desktop pages. It displays well, doesn't get in the way, and exposes our readers to useful articles or pages that they might not discover on their own.

If you run Wordpress then you know there are excellent plugins that can achieve the same results, likely better. With no CMS then I could understand using it.

Sounds like testing is key then, will let you know how I get on.

No question, it's boosted views a lot on the only site I have that is "eligible" Wish I could put it on my other sites, but can't figure out why they somehow don't rate.

Yeah, I tried it for a few days and some of the images were chopped off. I thought it looked awful.

Actually I'd always done a variation of that on my own on most of my review pages, a (text only) "further reading" box with related pages links. I know which pages are genuinely related on my site much better than some search engine.

I've been running Matched Content at the end of articles for a six days now - 160,000 page views, 0 impressions, 0 clicks, $0 revenue. I think it's a bust.

I tried this; it looks dreadful. Images are from the og:image tag, but crudely cut into a square. It looked particularly bad on the site. I pulled it relatively quickly.
