Dunno about you guys but ad earnings from just flash creatives in just the USA are down 20%+ from yesterday with everything else the same.

If this is the pattern, the ad networks will notice and flash won't be used for creatives as frequently, which is a GOOD thing. They don't listen to security advice but they listen to earnings changes.

Of course what I see might just be a glitch and not representative but it stands to reason. If you look at todays earnings, select just US, and select creative type Flash, compare RPM yesterday vs today ....

That's an a huge drop, and i'm sorry to hear that.

I wonder if that will recover when Adobe patches the latest Flash Player, or whether people will give up on it.

For those that don't realise, here's the story. Mozilla Firefox Now Blocking Flash By Default [webmasterworld.com]

So far this month I've had only 0.007% of flash ads requested and not one click therefore it's made no difference to me however yesterday was an unmitigated AdSense disaster zone with my lowest EPC of 2015. There was more happening than just flash, something was seriously screwed-up.

I think (and hope) that the shelf life for Flash has just about run out.

Using Flash on a site has been a struggle ever since Steve Jobs (and the iPhone) took a stance against it. In the age of creating websites for-all-devices, it has no place. When I finished my mobile-friendly conversion I dumped the rest of the Flash graphics I had.

I'll always miss the ease of creation, design and use sophistication possible, and the light weight size of the files, and there is no current substitute for my purposes. But Adobe had years upon years to resolve Flash problems and criticisms and simply didn't. I'd like this to be its death knell too.

Not if the number of times I get prompted to enable flash is anything to go by.

Given the number of Mozilla users, and the recent addition of a flash block/check for recent version of the plugin, it is possible that some of your visitors hit that quite recently .... and didn't know what to do (even though the instructions are on screen). I can see where that might have hit the earnings.... but not to the extent the OP notes.

It's long past time for Flash to die an ignoble death. What a PITA it has been. I thoroughly agree it has no legitimate place on the web. Oh ya, it's certainly not helping my bottom line right now either.

There are a number of applications I need to run which rely upon Flash being enabled.

As for the Firefox warnings? I simply updated my Flash, and problem solved.

I wouldn't class you, or anybody who reads this forum as a typical internet user. It's the reaction of the "civilians" who actually click on ads that is important.
