How do I dispute a disabled account?

Hi there everyone. Sorry if this topic has already been covered, but I did not immediately see it.

In 2007, I was using Adsense on my personal webpage and a couple of Youtube videos. My account ended up disabled for invalid click activity. I vented about this on a forum I was on, and one of the guys there admitted to having clicked the banner on my page 100 times, thinking that I would make money from it. Before he did this, my balance was a little over $17, and I had never even gotten a payout from them since none of my stuff had much traffic.

Here I am, EIGHT years later, and I still cannot get Adsense to reinstate my account. I have appealed numerous times, and each time I get a "your appeal has been denied" auto-reply. I mean COME ON, it was eight years ago, it was one instance of one guy clicking 100 times, and I never even got paid any money from my account. A bankruptcy would have fallen off of my record by now! Does this mean I am just stuck for eternity, and will never be able to use Adsense?

How do I go about disputing this in a way that a person (not a computer) will see my appeal and use common sense to approve my appeal and reinstate me? Is there a way to contact some type of customer service department where people read and reply to your concerns?

-Julie

Not for disabled accounts, unfortunately. At least, not that I've ever heard of. You have to earn at least $25/week just to be allowed to email them. The problem is that account deactivations happen so much (deserved and undeserved) that Google pretty much figures it's more trouble than it's worth to sort out the good from the bad. You can try the AdSense Help Forum and see if you can convince a Top Contributor to flag your issue for a Google rep to look at. I'm not sure if AdSense is still doing meetups in various cities, but if they are, you can try to hit them up there. But if you've been trying and trying with no luck for eight years, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

So I'm just punished indefinitely for something I didn't do? Or I'm forced to make a new account and break the rules in order to have ads on my Youtube channel and Blogspot blog?

In general, once you're banned you're banned for life. However there is a little hope. Here are some posts that show how to successfully dispute a banned account:

If you have created a high quality site, one that is trustworthy, one that people would trust enough with their credit card, if people are enthusiastically sharing it and is cited by other sites and has even won awards (if you don't have any then get some!), then an alternate way, if the above doesn't work, is to attend some search conferences where you might have a chance to meet an influential Googler. Invest in your future and buy a ticket and talk to a Googler, show them your site. But you might be wasting your money and time if the site falls short of fantastic and is not quite a leader in its space. The idea is that if the site is high quality and you can demonstrate you've grown up, are mature, businesslike and have learned from your mistake and can communicate that effectively, it's possible that you may have a chance back in. I know this has been done before. But you probably won't be successful if your site is less than fantastic or if you come off in person like a goofball, unreliable or untrustworthy.

Good luck!

You could incorporate a LLC and apply for a new account in the name of the LLC.

Yea but if it's the same site, they'll know.
