Could Evidon be a cause of a decline in earnings

Their adverts appearing on my site without code.

I was checking my site in Firefox, and I scrolled to the bottom of the page. Below, where the website is supposed to stop, a 728x90 advert appeared.

Apart from the fact that I do not use 728x90 adverts on that page, and it appeared below where the site ends, I thought I may have been hacked.

I looked at the code, and nothing was there. (It's all html)

I checked other sites that I know run adsense, and the same thing happened.

The ad choices arrow took me to the Evidon site.

Malwarebytes didn't find anything, and even before it finished the scan, I opened up FF again, but this time they did not appear.

I've only been to a handful of trusted sites today, and the cache was clear before I started, so I have no idea where or how this has happened. And if it has happened to me, it could be happening to others.

Juat a thought.

Update:
AVG found nothing.
Malwarebytes found nothing.
Crap Cleaner used.

These unauthorized adverts are still appearing.

Tested on a laptop with FF, no adverts appeared, so it looks like something has been installed onto my PC, but cannot be found or removed... yet.

If the page does not have adverts on, then these 728 banners do not appear, but if the page has adsense on it, then they do appear.

I did find this, but it was for IE9...
[answers.microsoft.com...]

So I am not alone on this.

Have you got x-ray installed for firefox ( it is an addon ) ..if not ..I suggest install it..and then when you get an "unexpected ad", use x-ray to see where it is coming from..x-ray gives access to page source code while the page is live..it superimposes the "source" over the page..

Load a simple page..complex pages can be hard to read with it..

You may also be able to track down what is generating this with firebug..I haven't used firebug much..I prefer Opera with Dragonfly ..

I think I have found the cause... Freecorder 6
I've uninstalled the toolbar and these extra adverts no longer appear... for now.

Fingers crossed.

I have Freecorder 4 for ages without this problem. I updated to Freecorder 6 about a month ago, but i've only noticed this now because I rarely browse with FF.

I just have the Google toolbar now.

Four fecking hours wasted over this. They shouldn't be allowed to have an account, no matter what advertising program that have. Totally out of order.
