Approval of new account for changing country

Adsense told me to create new account to change the country

I recently moved countries inside Europe (from € to €) and even though none of the countries involved were on the "you need to make a new account" list, after using the designated form I got a mail that I needed to create a new account to change country anyway. However, they allowed me to keep my old account open for now to ease the process.

So I did, and the first approval took about an hour - I was told to reply to the mail with the details of my new account for speeding up approval - and was subsequently in the "put the ad code and see blank ads until we review your site" step.

Since then I've been unable to log in to my old account, so I'm a bit weary of what's happening here, although the ads from my old account are still showing up (hope my remaining funds - 5 figures - will be transferred or paid in the end)

Anyway, I've been searching online how long the second part of the approval process takes, and apparently AdSense itself says 2-3 days, while there are reports of people having to wait weeks.

Does anyone have experience with this situation and how long the second part of the approval process takes in this case? Since this is a reasonably high-revenue, high-visited site that has been showing Adsense ads for two years now, I hope it would go quickly once I update the ad codes. However, as soon as I update the code, the blank ads mean I'm losing a huge amount of money every hour.

Could I update the code on just some pages of the site, or can I show the blank ads together with ads from the old account, so I'm not losing money? Maybe this will be frowned upon as a violation of policy, even though I'm already kind of violating with their permission by having two accounts for the same site.

Any recommendations on how to speed up the process/lose the least amount of revenue?

Only use code from the account you have access to and that you know is active. I can't help with the rest but don't assume you will be paid for clicks on the account you no longer have access to, I'll be surprised if you receive payment of funds due on the closed account without some effort.

From AdSense Help:
[support.google.com...]

Generally, you can change the country in your account

Following Steps for Change the country in AdSense account

1.First you need Sign in to your account.
2.Under the Home tab, visit the Account settings page.
3.In the "Account information" section, click change country.
4.Select your preferred country...

Just Like India, United State, Pakistan which one you have.

However, there are two situations in which you won't be able to change your country directly within your account:

The reporting currency in your account currently isn't available as a reporting currency in your new country. View a list of countries and their reporting currencies.

You're located in or changing your country to one of the following:
China, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, or Singapore
Due to system and legal constraints, we aren't able to change your country if you're located in or need to change to an address in one of these countries.

In either of these cases, you will need to close your existing account and open a new account using your desired address. Please contact us to begin the cancellation process. Once the cancellation process is complete, submit an application for a new account here.
