More and more when I search Google from my iPad, the result page shows three ad blocks on top, ads on the right, and only one "organic" listing - usually eBay, Amazon or Wikipedia (hardly organics by most webmasters standards, so really, no place at all). If the iPad and tablet space is going to be the post PC future, then unless Google changes it's layout, good luck getting (or staying) on page one. What's your plan for survival?

Yes, and not only on your iPad. Normally Google would have to throw itself out from "Adsense" because they do present too many ads and not enough content.

Google has been showing close to no content above the fold for some time now.

It is time the Google Quality Team takes action and penalizes Google for violating its own guidelines.

On my 10" tablet landscape I actually get 2 organics, portrait I nearly get the entire page, just can't read it without glasses though!

Personally I don't feel these are the future insofar as serious business machines are concerned, far too flaky, I wouldn't want to enter any secure data through one and as for serious typing...ouch.

That's not to say they're not good fun to have around, read the news, surfing etc and they seem to have some really good speciality business uses, the NHS in the UK have some serious pieces of kit.

I still prefer a netbook any day for work-related travel. I tell you what does annoy me, automatically being directed to the mobile site instead of the desktop on a 10" tablet. I assume it just detects Android and that's it, mobile.

FWIW my Nokia E7 doesn't/won't display AdSense whatsoever, maybe I have something set incorrectly? Not that I would be able to click on anything easily.

My plan for survival includes staying in niches that are well under Google's radar, encouraging copious sharing and evangelizing by my little army of enthusiastic visitors, and being the most obvious resource for niche.
