Well, that's just one example that was found. It would actually be a matter of checking millions of pages to look for exceptions like that one.

One option would be to create a filter and run all 25 million+ listings against the word filter. Anything matching the filter wouldn't be displayed by default. But users could have a link to "turn on adult listings" and then have AdSense turned off on those pages.

Some problems with that:
1) Users may figure out that they can turn off all AdSense ads by just browsing in adult mode (reducing revenue)
2) A lot of listings may get filtered by mistake (e.g. filtering for "adult" would flag any nursing homes with "adult" in their names).

All the adult categories in the taxonomy are already flagged as such (no AdSense on those pages).

The issue is individual listings (that may be adult) that are in non-adult categories, like the example above.

@ LifeinAsia, I'm not sure what you are thinking culturally, however I'm positive that one "adult" listing is too many for American policy or rule makers.
