How did it work out for you in the next day?
A bit of a disappointment, then next day was average EPC and, today [just finished] started out disappointing yet finished up best of the month so far.
The only real vaiable gyrating around here is EPC which is unusual for me. It was CTR giving me heartache for months.
Maybe in the "old days" we were spoilt so much and we weren't tuned into daily variations so much because highs/lows were still good anyway.
[added] Gee, only a trillion today? Cancel that order for the new Rolls-Royce!
Jan up $0.13 Feb up $0.04 Mar up $0.04 Apr $0.02 May down by $(0.11) Jun down by $(0.12) Jul so far is only down by $(0.04)
Hoping that June was the Bottom.
Starting back when they announced the different font sizes and up until last weekend, I had great earnings - almost as good as back in 2003 or 2004.Then, since last Saturday's maintenance, my total earnings for the entire 6-day period has been less than what I earned normally in just one day.
I'm still getting the same trafic and seeing the same ads. Both the CTR and EPC are in the tank.
And then on the 21st someone reports that AdSense is temporarily down for a while then suddenly my numbers are on the rise again.
Interesting.

But I also recall that you mentioned other ad programs. I just tried that out and got my butt kicked. I added another program that was not even a competitor (it is PPA not PPC) and my CPC plunged. For the same number of clicks in a day I was getting about 30% less than just a few days prior. When I removed the other program, the CPC and revenue rebounded immediately. It was like turning on and off a light switch.
So what happened here? Was I being punished by Google? (My first thought was a twist on the title of a science fiction novel by Robert Heinlein: "The Google is a Harsh Mistress.")
But the more I think about it, this is my explanation: the other program attracted the quality clickers. Although it's PPA vs. Google's PPC, I believe that the people who viewed that program were the ones Google might have paid more money for a click.
On the other hand, maybe Google said, "OK, you want her on the same page as me? Fine. We'll just see who has a headache tonight." ;)
