To answer your question im in the hundred dollar/month range as of right now. The recession brought down all CPC's.

I agree. I think the CPC has gone down across the board, but, to be honest, I haven't suffered a great deal in cpc drop personally even though I know many people accounts have tanked, maybe a few cents down from my average of my adsense account.

I am hoping to see a boost in the cpc as the first signs of an econmic recovery seems to be taking hold (it may be not last though).

However, one thing I haven't really seen is the constant increase in adsense as I was expecting despite constantly adding content to my sites.

Also, I am a little esurprised by the cpc of my automotive site. I always thought cpc on auto sites would be pretty high, given that most products in the auto industry are relatively big-ticket items.

Ths strengthening of the pound in the last couple of months has not been good though. It makes a lot of difference. For example, few months ago I was getting several hundred pounds more than I am now because the pound has strengthened significantly in that time. But its still better than the £1:$1.90-2.00 range we had last year.

Actually, I've seen a significant increase in EPC (earnings per click) over the past year, so I'd guess that the average CPC (cost per click) for ads on my site has gone up, too.

My average clickthrough rate, on the other hand, is lower than it was a year ago. I'd guess this is for several reasons:

- Changes that I've made on the site to emphasize display ads at the expense of AdSense ads;

- Changes that Google has made to its definition of a valid click (clicks must now be on the headline or URL of an ad to be billed to advertisers and credited to publishers);

- The global economic crisis, which has had an obvious impact on consumer behavior.

Wow $2000/day is huge, congrats.

I'd guess that was per month, given his volume of 500,000/month. (I think I read that in another thread)

Definately per month. I wish I was earning that $2000 per day because I would be travelling the world :) much more often as money wouldn't be such a problem then.

Also, that amount is not only from a single site either. Most of my income comes from 4 sites but have a bunch of smaller sites too.

I am working hard to become less reliant on a single source of income online and diversifying now, especially ecommerce. The great thing about adsense (unless you are good at affiliate stuff) is that it is by far and away the best ad program out there, so, like me, I am sure most people will find adsense still works best for them on most sites. The EPC is comparatively much better than other ad services and the CTR is usualy much better, too, thanks to the excellent relevancy of the ads to page content.

One of the things to check is whether your infrastructure is able to handle the increased load on the sites? Often that causes a slowdown of traffic and revenue.

So why not say it from the beginning. People keep throwing figures out there, and we never know what time frame it is. "Oh I make $1000. Oh I make $100." That doesn't mean anything unless you know the timeframe. What's wrong with people? It seems obvious to me. That's why I made my first sarcastic reply.
