recently with the Google update to some of their ad codes, we have noticed an alarming problem. On one of our sites we use a dropdown menu. Before the updates, the ad used to show overtop the menu. Now the menu shows overtop the ads. We have considered using iframes to solve the problem, but this no longer appears to be an option in Adsense configuration manager. Couple questions (and yes we have contacted Adsense support twice now with no reply yet).
1> Will using iframes solve the problem and has anyone else experienced problems with the new code. I saw another guy on the forums with a similar cascading problem where his ads didn't move in relativity to the page but this appears to be a different issue then our own.
2> Is using iframes still acceptable under the ToS. I would appreciate if someone could tell me without me being told to go read the ToS. That will take a long time and this is easier.
Thanks for any help at all. I would be more then happy to send the URL of said site to any and all parties interestign in helping me. If anyone else has the problem please let me know and if we find a resoloution I will PM them the answer on the fix.

mysticalsock, thanks for that suggestion. I will see if that helps.
As for using a drop down menu from inside of an iframe, you'll render the site un-crawlable unless you have a secondary menu on the same page.
If it's a widespread problem without a solution that works for everyone, I'm happy to look into it.

It would be a good idea to re-read the TOS.
Take a long time ? No more than playing around with something to later find that it could break the TOS, yes ?
Or do you prefer others to do the work for you.
By reading the TOS, you may read other things that you could possibly be breaking.
Sorry. I did that wrong. I wanted it to say the menu used to go over the ads. Now the menu goes underneath the ads and we want it to display overtop them again.
Personally, I think it is a bad idea to have the advert floating over or underneath simply because it can create a dummy click on an advert.
You said "over" and "underneath" the menu, rather than above or below the menu. So I can only assume you will have two clickable areas in the same place.

please do not attack my methods before reading my follow up posts. I clearly stated that is not the intent of our dropdown menu system.

Add to it that even putting menus etc. too close to it is considered a no-no, I'd be very careful about putting a menu _over_ adsense.
Unless of course ASA would actually tell we all got the exception ...
