Hey guys I honestly hope that someone can answer this for me. I have several websites and use Adsense Search to monetize it.

However there was one site that searches were paying me an EPC of 0.20 to 0.21 over the last six months. However as of February 1 that has fallen to about $0.13 EPC.

The Adsense search earnings on the other sites are a bit different they were always low to begin with and I have not seen much change there. But my question is

A.) Can google smart price the ads for your search traffic and not smart price the ads for your regular traffic from your webpage.

B.) Can google smart price your Adsense Search at ALL

If anyone has ever experienced something like this I would love some assistance in how to turn this around.

I think Google can change your payout on any AdSense median you publish wheather by smart pricing or other reason at will and without notice.

I believe that smart pricing has probably something to do with the perceived value of your traffic - if that's true, then I would expect the AdSense Search clicks to be smart priced, sure. It's the same traffic clicking.

That isn't necessarily why your EPC has dropped though. A lot as changed in recent months, in case you haven't noticed.

I have netmeg, what I would love to know is if that is even more so in International real estate. Why this took effect in February - who knows but I never knew that they could separate both search and ad units, that being said you guys think they could also smart price link units too.

Real estate advertising campaigns normally continue during the early phases of a downturn.

As real estate projects take months to years to complete, it takes some time to sell existing inventory even if new projects are put on hold.

When the existing inventory has been processed (or when the money runs out), the advertising budgets decrease.
