The scheduled campaign period starts in a few days and now I have some concerns...
Rather than receiving artwork which I was expecting, a DoubleClick affiliate emailed me the IFRAME code on behalf of the Agency.
I don't have a problem incorporating the code. My question pertains to any conflict of interest running both GoogleAdsense and DoubleClick on the same page. Does Google Adsense policy allow this?
DoubleClick is like a tracking service, particularly their DART product. So in this case you're only displaying a banner ad for someone else, and it's being served through DoubleClick for tracking purposes. This does not run afoul of Google's terms.
Here's ASA commenting about displaying AdBrite ads (direct sale ads) on the same page:
As you mentioned, it's generally fine to show AdSense ads in combination with other advertisements so long as they are not content-targeted, or do not mimic the appearance of Google ads. These types of ads are considered competitive as per our program policies ( www.google.com/adsense/policies ).
The only warning I would give you is to not expect to be paid by the advertising company on a timely basis. From my experience and what I've heard from others that ad agencies, and I'm talking about prestigious multimillion dollar New York agencies, tend to delay payments.
