Improvement Suggestions for AdManager

[google.com...]

The above link takes you to a totally confusing and totally unusable utility.

I want to be able to set the price on a channel on my web site. If the ads don't meet the price on that channel then nothing is shown or the ads that do meet the price are shown.

I want to be able to set a filter on the channel, if I don't want ads about some topic, I want to be able to put in a key word that filters that topic out of that channel.

This is not rocket science, this is simple stuff here.

Uh. Do you have any idea what ad manager actually is, what it does, and its purpose? If it's not rocket science....

Maybe you could have your understanding checked by posting a small explanation so you can get things straight.

It's not totally confusing and unusable. It does what most ad manager software does and does it better (and cheaper) than most of them.

Filtering ads by topic is not something ad managers are generally set up to do. Nor are they set up to leave inventory unsold.

Publishing is a business, just like running an airline. If a seat can't be sold for $500, it's better to sell it for $100 than to let it fly empty. Ad manager software works the same way.

AdManager is complex and difficult to learn but it is very useful for those who are serious about selling advertising.

I've looked at it, and I really would like to use it, but the learning curve seems a little steep for a busy person. I'm also not crazy about having to watch videos to see how it works. I guess I'm too old, but I really *hate* this growing tendency to make all documentation/help files videos instead of text docs I can save, refer to, search, etc. Like as not if the only documentation is a video, I won't bother.
