It just started happening a few days ago and before this I didn't have any problems accessing my adsense account.
I did some checking online and could only find one site with any related information and it said that clearing the cache and cookies helped them but that it still does continue to happen!
:(
http://google.com/adsense should redirect you to the correct and secure Adsense homepage. Try accessing https://www.google.com/adsense/ directly to see what happens. If you are redirected to some other URL, or get a suspicious (or complete lack of a) certificate, I suspect something is wrong on your end, perhaps malware. If you're running Windows XP, go to Start, then Run, and enter the following command line:
notepad c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
See if there are any suspicious, Adsense-related lines in there. You could also try running an anti-spyware tool.
No idea what "kitchensinks.nt0" could be. Is that the name of the certificate? It's not the name of your computer?

That is the name of the certificate.
It has also happened when I tried accessing my Blogger account.
As of today when getting into my adsense account it hasn't happen (yet)
Oh and I did do the "start, run" thing and saved the file. Didn't see any hosts names with the word "adsense" in it but I did see quite a few of them had the word "ad" in them - should I delete those?
Glad it's no longer happening :-)
Hard to say. I suggest you do a search for something like anti-spyware freeware to find a good program that will scan your computer for any malware. If that doesn't clean the hosts file, you could do it manually (search for something like clean hosts file to find instructions and advice on what to and what not to delete).Glad it's no longer happening :-)
I did the instructions on Adsense's help page and I'm wondering if I should just delete all of the lines in the host file?
Also too when it says re-start your browser should I just re-boot the whole computer because re-starting the browser just isn't solving the problem?
127.0.0.1 localhost, which I strongly suggest not removing. I don't think a full reboot is necessary after saving the hosts file, but a browser restart might be. If the lines you deleted reappear after a full reboot, you may have some malware on your computer.
If you're sure enough you don't need any of those lines, you could consider deleting them. My hosts file only includes the default comments and 127.0.0.1 localhost, which I strongly suggest not removing.I don't think a full reboot is necessary after saving the hosts file, but a browser restart might be. Well the culprit did turn out to be the hosts file!
I did some altering / deleting of the host file but saved the original as a backup!
I also did some searching online about the problem and was able to download a file that can be used as a replacement host file - but I haven't used it as such yet!
I'm glad the problem's solved and as an added benefit I'm now able to see the adsense ads on my other browsers as well!
Thanks to you all that replied!
You guys are GREAT!
:)
