If your website is desolate, that means, low traffic, low clicks, then you should think about this:AdSense may risk your profit if you can not improve the situation.
First, CPM is better than CPC, if you have not clicks, right? Although price of CPM is poor now, but, it should be better than teeny times of clicks, right? AdSense always gives you CPC unit, so, you should regard this problem.
Second, Google said, minimum payment is $100, huh, think about it, how long does it take you to reach that limit ? Don't forget, Google CAN close your account anytime, that means, more time you spend, more risk you get, because you will never know when Google will close your account.
IMHO, if your site hasn't enough traffic, you may give up AdSense, or, give up traditional operation.

If you can't reach 100$ in a few months, you won't lose much if they close your account. If you have low traffic, CPM will surely make even less money.

I fail to see the point of that post.

What if you have many little sites? I've found it profitable to have many little sites over having one big site. That’s been my experience. Of course mileage will vary.

1. Low traffic, commonly, means low profit. Most of "weak" sites I know, they have low traffic, almost no profit. How could you ask them for considerable revenue ?

2. "If you can't reach 100$ in... you won't lose much if they close your account."
What a terrible standpoint. Is it my fault while they close my account since my site earns $30 monthly ?

3. jchampliaud, it seems that you are talking abut "The Long Tail theory" :-) Maybe you are right.

If you have nothing, you think you should quit while your ahead or redirect your focus.

You may have something there.

Basically you can throw just ANYTHING up and expect it to work.

A site has to have merit and or value for the visitor.

Quite possibly, yes. Your account won't be closed for no reason or for the fact that you get little traffic or don't make a lot of money - you'll get the boot when you have poor traffic or are in violation of their policies.

Huh, it seems that some guys blame this problem on the owner of the "weak" site :-(
As I know, Google has not any rule about "Your account will be closed because it has not enough traffic", right? If GG does that, it violates the rule, but not the webmaster, right ?
:-)
